The commission biomass is working in cooperation with Bioenergy Europe (former AEBIOM) in Brussels. Specially for the CEFACD a new working group has been created called WG Domestic Heating. Also other members of Bioenergy Europe can participate in this working group. We have defined a number of actions for the coming period.
- EU policy in the heating market: much of the EU policies on heating are also relevant for the biomass sector.
- Data collection on various subjects: such as overall sales of domestic biomass units in the EU.
- Communication: there is a lot written on biomass, positive as well as negative. It is important that we built a good argumentation based on facts rather than gut feel.
- Research: On several issues additional research is needed. The working group defines what the research should be and how it will be funded.
